"My earliest memories of your cereal go back to the 1940's. I was the sixth child of a family of eight. Our mother believed a hearty breakfast was a very important way to start our day and also that a good diet would avoid a trip to the family doctor, which my parents could ill afford. We had a variety of hot cereals, but I identified with and sat beside my Dad who preferred Red River... It's nice to see that not all of the things of our past have left us.
I was saddened when my mother was in a nursing home for six years and was denied hot cereal. They preferred to offer a cold fibre, completely missing the value of the nourishment in hot cereal... I now enjoy Red River year round because it helps with regularity and brings back happy memories of being a child surrounded by my loving parents, sisters and brothers."
